Development of training manuals for QTS, a software development company

The brief: QTS develops online banking software for banks and building societies. As well as providing the software, the company needed to ensure that banking /building society staff initially using the new software were well trained. Those trained would then be responsible for training other staff in the use of the software. QTS also needed to ensure that staff had back up and support in terms of user manuals to reinforce the initial training program.

Outcome: Essence Training Consultants took a structured approach to developing a fully comprehensive user guide. It was developed from the perspective of someone having no knowledge or experience of the system. In addition Essence Training Consultants developed a manual to be used by those delivering the training with trainer notes and references. This ensured that those individuals within the client company taking future responsibility for system training were confident that they could deliver the training effectively.
